The grant program guidelines will be available early in January, and grant preparations and reviews will be made from January to March 2024.

The Foundation will provide oversight for project preparation for all Scout Groups.

Grant funds will be disbursed to qualifying applicants starting April 1, 2023, and ending on September 30, 2023.

The duration of any project will be one year, with the possibility of extending the project period and providing further funding to ensure viability.

On Saturday November 18th our Jaguar Scouts & Ventures took part in a Pine Tree Seedling planting in Mountain Pine Ridge. The planting which took place on a hillside which was previously caught in a forest fire will provide the perfect environment for the seedlings to grow. We’d like to thank Bulridge Ltd. for allowing us to take part in this wonderful initiative.

welcome Ms. Claudia Groutsche

International Jaguar Day is observed annually on November 29th. Today as we celebrate International Jaguar Day we look back at this weekends Run for Jaguars Marathon. The 2nd Annual Run for Jaguars 5k/10 miles aims to not only raise funds for the Jaguars at the Belize Zoo but to raise awareness on a key species to our Belizean Wildlife.  Our Venture Scouts were stationed at several spots along the marathon course where they gave out water to participants. We’d like to thank the organizers for the invite & we look forward to next years race.

Fun Fact:

Jaguars are the largest cat of the Americas & sadly are a threatened species & fall victim to Human Wildlife conflict. As our group mascot the SEJS aims for the protection & conservation of these magnificent cats.
