6th Corozal Methodist Scout Group receives a small grant and guitar from the Scout Foundation

At a short but memorable ceremony held on June 21, 2023, at the residence of Mr. Edward N. (Billy) Musa Sr., Vice-Chairman of the Belize Scout Foundation, the 6th Corozal Methodist Scout Group was awarded a small grant of five hundred dollars ($500.00) to assist the group with paying 50% of the National Camp fees for sixteen of its members.

Vice Chairman of the Belize Scout Foundation, Mr. Edward N. (Billy) Musa, presented the grant funds to Group Scout Leader Gwendolyn Monima, who thanked the Foundation for the funds and said that this assistance makes it easier for the Scouts to participate in this year’s camp.

The Scout Foundation also presented a guitar to the Group Scout Leader to support the Scout musical program. She added that the group is looking around for other musical instruments to expand the music program in her group. Executive Director for the Belize Scout Foundation committed instantly to donating three flutes towards the group’s musical program.

Accompanying the Group Scout Leader, Gwendolyn Monima was Rev. Charles Mulemena, the Sponsoring Authority of the Scout Group, and Venture Scouts Nuri Aldana and Ahnor Cowo.
