Founders Day Scouts on February 22

Founders Day Scouts on February 22 honors Lord Baden-Powell and his wife, Olave, the first Chief Girl Guide. Scouts Founder’s Day is known as Founders Day throughout the world. It’s a time for Scouts and Guides to reaffirm their promise together and contemplate how Scouting’s century-old values are still relevant in today’s fast-paced world.

Beaver Scout Claire (Scout) Bouchard’s visit to Cub Scout Packs in Belize

Beaver Scouts is a program for children aged 5 to 7 that focuses on discovering new things, making friends, and having fun-filled adventures. Through various activities like nature walks, hikes, tree planting, games, crafts, and family events, Beaver Scouts learn valuable social skills and gain self-confidence while enjoying their time with peers.

During her visit to Belize, Beaver Scout Claire Bouchard from Scouts Canada visited three Cub Scout Packs, demonstrating the importance of teamwork and cooperation. Her first visit was to the Cub Scouts from the 37th Cayo Belmopan Phoenix Scout Group in Belmopan on Thursday, February 15. Her second visit was to the Cub Scouts from the 6th Corozal Methodist Scout Group in Corozal on Saturday, February 17. Her third visit was also in Corozal, where she met the Cub Scouts from the 11th Corozal Mary Hill Scout Group. The Cub Scouts from the 11th Corozal Mary Hill Scout Group presented her with their Group’s Scarf as a symbol of friendship across the world.

We are grateful to the leadership of these Cub Packs for making Claire’s visit possible and providing her with a unique and exciting experience of world Scouting.
