History of Scouting in Belize

Did you know that the first two female Queen’s Scouts came from 9th Belize St. Ignatius Venture Scout Unit under the then leadership of Luigi Heredia? Victoria Burgos became a Queen’s Scout on July 30, 2005 and Lissette Ordonez on June 16, 2007. Here are our first two female Queen’s Scouts who although are not involved in Scouting right now are exemplary role models in our community.

HISTORY OF SCOUTING IN BELIZE

Did you know that The Belize Branch of The Scout Association received its charter on December 15, 1987 from the World Scout Bureau? Mr. Julian Castillo and Mr. Reynaldo Guerrero traveled all the way to Australia to receive the Charter. This recognition was made possible after the Belize Branch of The Scout Association met all the requirements for this purpose through the dedication of the then National Scout Council and the professional support staff.
