The Building Sub-Committee of the Belize Scout Foundation and the Scout Association meet on Thursday May 9, 2019 to finalize plans on the way forward for the construction of the “Sir Colville N. Young Building” Home of Scouting in Belize.
Based on decisions taken during the meeting it is expected that within a week’s time the cost schedule for the architectural work will be completed which will then enable the Scout Foundation to enter in a contractual agreement with the Architect.
It was also agreed based on cost estimates that the building will be constructed using the traditional method, concrete reinforced columns, beams and floors casted on site and walls to be of masonry cement blocks.
The initial construction phase is expected to commence within the next few months.
